The domestic New Year's Eve flower market continues to heat up, and plateau fresh-cut roses from Linxia, Lanzhou and other places in Gansu sell well at home and abroad with high-quality products.The reporter learned from the local flower base that in order to extend the flowering period of fresh-cut flowers and ensure the supply of festivals, the base adopts the dual scientific maintenance mode of “pre-cooling treatment + soaking in fresh-keeping liquid” to extend the shelf life of fresh-cut roses to about 15 days, laying the foundation for long-distance transportation and export.It is reported that the newly harvested roses will be immersed in a special fresh-keeping liquid to replenish nutrients and moisture for the first time, and then sent to the hair flower bank for pre-cooling to quickly remove the residual temperature of the flower body and reduce the rate of dehydration and decay. With later grading and cutting, cold chain transportation, plateau roses can reach the whole country and overseas markets such as Russia and Kazakhstan.At present, the local base produces an average of about 250,000 freshly cut roses per day, and orders have increased by more than 20% year-on-year. Intelligent maintenance and scientific preservation technology have become the core competitiveness of the industry.
